THERAPY SERVICES
SPEECH SOUND
DISORDERS
  • Articulation and Phonological disorders
  • Apraxia and motor speech disorders
  • ...Speech sound disorders involve difficulties in producing and articulating sounds in spoken language. Individuals with these disorders may struggle with pronouncing certain sounds, substituting one sound for another, or omitting sounds in words. Speech-language pathologists assess and provide targeted interventions to help individuals improve their articulation and phonological skills, promoting clearer and more effective communication.
    LANGUAGE
    DISORDERS
  • Receptive and Expressive Language Delays and Disorders
  • Social / Pragmatic communication problems
  • School aged Language disorders
  • Central Auditory Processing disorder
  • ...Language delays refer to a situation where a child's acquisition of language milestones lags behind typical developmental expectations. Children with language delays may exhibit challenges in expressive language (spoken or written) or receptive language (understanding spoken or written language). These delays can impact vocabulary growth, sentence structure, and communication skills. Early identification and intervention, often involving speech-language pathologists, are crucial to support the child in catching up to age-appropriate language skills, promoting effective communication, and minimizing potential long-term impacts on academic and social development.
    AUTISM SPECTRUM
    DISORDERS
...Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) encompass a variety of developmental conditions characterized by challenges in social interaction (such as difficulties with social cues, maintaining eye contact, or participating in back-and-forth conversations), communication (evident through delayed speech development, trouble starting or continuing conversations, and issues with recognizing nonverbal signals), and behavior (including repetitive actions and heightened sensitivity to sensory inputs like light, sound, textures, and smells).
    FEEDING AND
    SWALLOWING
    DIFFICULTIES
...SLPs conduct thorough evaluations to identify difficulties in oral-motor function, swallow coordination, and overall swallowing safety. Treatment plans are individualized, incorporating exercises and strategies to improve muscle strength, coordination, and ensure safe and effective swallowing. SLPs often collaborate with healthcare teams and provide valuable education to parents and caregivers for ongoing support.
    PARENT
    COACHING
...Parent coaching within the realm of speech therapy focuses on enabling parents to facilitate their child's communicative growth within the home setting. Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) engage in a partnership with parents, offering insights into successful communication tactics and personalized activities that cater to the child's specific requirements. This cooperative strategy ensures the creation of a nurturing home atmosphere that aligns with the goals of structured therapy sessions. By incorporating parent coaching, the reinforcement of communicative abilities is extended into diverse daily contexts, thereby augmenting the child's developmental strides.
